The Verifiable Certitude is a dramatic poetic form intended to describe a chosen subject, originating in The Pincers of Moving. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single couplet. The Verifiable Certitude is always written from the perspective of the author. Use of vivid imagery is characteristic of the form. The first line concerns the past. It has six syllables. The second line concerns current events. It has six syllables.
