The Flowery Geometrician

The Flowery Geometrician is a poetic riddle concerning a specific wilderness region, originating in The Irrefutable Wills. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: four quatrains, two to three octets and five sexains. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often contrast underlying meaning and they use the same placement of allusions. Each line has nine syllables.

• The first part is intended to describe the subject of the poem. The fourth line of each quatrain must expand the idea of the third line.
• The second part is intended to develop the previous idea. The fourth line of each octet must expand the idea of the first line.
• The third part is intended to renounce. The fifth line of each sexain must expand the idea of the third line.
