The Fruity Fisher-berry is a poetic form intended to satirize someone recently retired, originating in The Justice of Potatoes. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single quatrain. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning. Each line has ten syllables. The second line of the quatrain contrasts the underlying meaning of the first line. The second line of the quatrain is required to maintain the phrasing of the first line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is AABA.
