The Ego of Querying

The Ego of Querying is a poetic form concerning religion, originating in The Beak-Dog of Dregs. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is a single tercet. Use of alliteration is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines use the same placement of allusions. The second line of the tercet must expand the idea of the first line. The first line is dramatic and intended to express grief over the subject of the poem. It has five syllables. The second line is solemn and intended to develop the previous idea. It has five syllables. The third line is dramatic and intended to move away from previous ideas. It has seven syllables.
