The Evidence of Puzzling

The Evidence of Puzzling is a light poetic form, originating in The Aware Rapacity. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is a single tercet. The Evidence of Puzzling is always written from the perspective of an animal. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning. The third line of the tercet uses the same placement of allusions as the second line. The first line is intended to make an assertion. It has three feet with a syllable weight pattern of short-long-short (quantitative amphibrachic trimeter). The second line is intended to make a counter-assertion. It has two feet with a syllable weight pattern of short-long-short (quantitative amphibrachic dimeter). The third line is intended to synthesize previous ideas. It has seven feet with a syllable weight pattern of short-long-short (quantitative amphibrachic heptameter). It has an initial caesura.
