The Intimate Eggplant-fruit is a poetic narrative intended to complain about a lover originally devised by the goblin Nolozulng Appendforbidden-Fruits. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is numerous series of quintains. Use of elision is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often contrast underlying meaning. Each line has ten syllables. Every line of the poem has a medial caesura. The fifth line of each quintain uses the same placement of allusions as the fourth line. The fifth line of each quintain presents a different view of the subject of the fourth line.
