The Meditations of Enlightening

The Meditations of Enlightening is a solemn poetic form concerning religion originally devised by the goblin Xospez Preoccupyjilt. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: a line, three tercets and a quatrain. Use of consonance and simile is characteristic of the form. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines use the same placement of allusions and they reverse grammatical structures. Each line has five feet with a syllable weight pattern of short-short-long (quantitative anapaestic pentameter). Every line of the poem has an initial caesura.
