The Assassin of Orphaning

The Assassin of Orphaning is a poetic narrative intended to make an apology concerning death which grew out of the performances of The Suppositious Papayas. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single sexain. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning. Each line has four syllables. Every line of the poem has a terminal caesura. The fourth line of the sexain presents a different view of the subject of the third line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABABBA.
