The Opinion of Brilliance

The Opinion of Brilliance is a dramatic poetic form intended to praise a chosen subject which grew out of the performances of The Blocks of Slandering. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is divided into a series of seventeen-line stanzas and a series of eleven-line stanzas. Use of alliteration is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines sometimes have reversed word orders. Each line has six syllables.
