The Ghost of Poisons is a solemn poetic form intended to describe the concept of death originally devised by the goblin Gustzaxoxosm Groutbully. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is three sexains. The Ghost of Poisons is always written from the perspective of a fictional poet. Use of alliteration is characteristic of the form. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines are required to maintain phrasing and they sometimes have reversed word orders. Each line has two syllables.
