The Lynx of Bentgrass is a poetic form intended to praise Awivi the Intrinsic, originating in The Civilian Nettles. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single couplet. Use of symbolism and metaphor is characteristic of the form. The ending of each line of the poem shares the same rhyme. The first line has two feet with a syllable weight pattern of long-long (quantitative spondaic dimeter). The second line has two feet with a syllable weight pattern of short-short-long (quantitative anapaestic dimeter).
