The Inaccessible Script

The Inaccessible Script is a poetic riddle intended to describe oaths, originating in The Polish of Choirs. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is two quatrains. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning and they use the same placement of allusions. Each line has three feet with a tone pattern of uneven-even-uneven. The third line of each quatrain contrasts the underlying meaning of the first line.
