The Portable Track

The Portable Track is a reflective poetic form intended to teach a moral lesson concerning a journey, originating in The Equality of Foreknowledges. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is a single tercet. Use of consonance and simile is characteristic of the form. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often contrast underlying meaning and they use the same placement of allusions. Each line has five syllables. The first line is written from the perspective of a party to a debate. The second line is written from the perspective of a party to a debate. The third line is written from the perspective of a party to a debate.
