The Light-yellow-diamond Stibnite is a ribald poetic form intended to make an apology concerning mining, originating in The Mother of Exfoliating. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single quintain. Use of internal rhyme and metaphor is characteristic of the form. Each line has sixteen syllables. Every line of the poem has a medial caesura. The fifth line of the quintain contrasts the underlying meaning of the second line. The third line must make use of simile. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABBBB.
