The Hagfish of Seances is a poetic riddle intended to describe Desna Seancemaggots, originating in The Immortal Savagery. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is six eleven-line stanzas. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines are required to maintain phrasing and they use the same placement of allusions. Each line has eight syllables.
