The Roughness of Cinnamons is a poetic form intended to express pleasure with jewels, originating in The Fusible Sabres. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is four thirteen-line stanzas. Use of assonance is characteristic of the form. The thirteenth line of each stanza is required to maintain the phrasing of the seventh line.
