The Lemon of Histories is a ribald poetic form concerning a specific wilderness region, originating in The Intrinsic Hemp-Stalk. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is numerous series of quatrains. Use of assonance and consonance is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often contrast underlying meaning. Each line has seven syllables. The fourth line of each quatrain must expand the idea of the third line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABAB.
