The Pale-brown of Ivory is a reflective poetic form intended to describe Kapoi Focuscandles, originating in The Roguish Hierarchy. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single tercet. Use of symbolism and metaphor is characteristic of the form. Each line has six syllables. The second line of the tercet must expand the idea of the first line. The second line has a medial caesura.
