The Plume-agate Coconut-palms is a reflective poetic form intended to express pleasure with The Corundum, originating in The Harp-Seal of Shying. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is an extremely long series of quatrains. Use of alliteration, assonance and vivid imagery is characteristic of the form. The fourth line of each quatrain reverses the word order of the third line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABAB. As a rule throughout the poem, the end rhymes don't generally match perfectly.
