The Muck-root-plant of Funny-bones is a solemn poetic form intended to beseech The Corundum, originating in The Harp-Seal of Shying. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is three to four tercets. Use of assonance is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning. Each line has seven syllables. The third line of each tercet uses the same placement of allusions as the first line. The third line of each tercet reverses the word order of the first line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is AAB.
