The Jade Resolve

The Jade Resolve is a dramatic poetic form intended to describe Zasled, originating in The Episodic Miscreant. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is a single couplet. Use of assonance and simile is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning. Each line has sixteen syllables. Every line of the poem has a medial caesura. The second line of the couplet reverses the grammatical structure of the first line. The second line of the couplet presents a different view of the subject of the first line. The first line must make use of alliteration.
