The Ship of Paddles is a light poetic form concerning rivers, originating in The Charismatic Group. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single sexain. Use of assonance, metaphor and vivid imagery is characteristic of the form. Each line has seven syllables. The ending of each line of the poem shares the same rhyme.
