The Implacable Denouncement

The Implacable Denouncement is a ribald poetic form intended to teach a moral lesson concerning Owbakfi, originating in The Empires of Endeavoring. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is a single quatrain. Use of internal rhyme is characteristic of the form. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines often share an underlying meaning, they sometimes have reversed word orders and they reverse grammatical structures. Each line has sixteen syllables. Every line of the poem has a medial caesura. The second line of the quatrain must expand the idea of the first line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is AABB.
