The Yellow-zircon of Canyons is a poetic riddle intended to complain about mining, originating in The Lawmaker of Peanuts. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is two ten-line stanzas. Use of internal rhyme and vivid imagery is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines have similar grammatical structures. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABBBABABBA. As a rule throughout the poem, the end rhymes don't generally match perfectly.
