The Momentous Hatchling is a poetic form concerning immortality, originating in The Heterosexual Patricide. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into three to four tercets and two to three brief verse paragraphs. Use of assonance and elision is characteristic of the form.
