The Bayberries of Toning is a form of music used for entertainment originating in The Glumprong of Tongs. The form guides musicians during improvised performances. A chanter recites nonsensical words and sounds. The entire performance should be merry and is moderately fast, and it is to be in whispered undertones. The melody has long phrases throughout the form. Only one pitch is ever played at a time. It is performed without preference for a scale and in free rhythm.
