The Lyrical Rambutan

The Lyrical Rambutan is a form of music used during marches and military engagements originally devised by the mer Luya Realgarangler. The rules of the form are applied by composers to produce individual pieces of music which can be performed. The music is played on a riraya and one to five isarilu. The music is melody and rhythm without harmony. The entire performance is moderately paced, and it is to fade into silence. The melody has short phrases throughout the form. It is performed using the everinopefa scale and in free rhythm. Throughout, when possible, composers and performers are to glide from note to note.
