The Lyrical Cashews

The Lyrical Cashews is a form of music used for entertainment originally devised by the elf Ocithi Circusblue-Peafowls. The rules of the form are applied by composers to produce individual pieces of music which can be performed. A singer recites nonsensical words and sounds. The entire performance should be made sweetly and is very slow, and it is to fade into silence. The melody has long phrases throughout the form. Only one pitch is ever played at a time. It is performed without preference for a scale and in free rhythm.

• The singer always does the main melody and plays arpeggios.
• The Lyrical Cashews has the following structure: an introduction and a passage.
• In the introduction, the singer's voice covers its entire range.
• In the simple passage, the singer's voice ranges from the low register to the middle register.
