The Muck-Root-Plant of Pelagic-Clays
The Muck-root-plant of Pelagic-clays is a devotional form of music directed toward the worship of Kecep Brown-bullheadangelshark originating in The Mighty Flags. The form guides musicians during improvised performances. One to two speakers recite any composition of The Pride of Culmination while the music is played on a teqoad, a ed and a ehpo. The music is melody and rhythm without harmony. The entire performance should feel mysterious and is slow. The melody has mid-length phrases throughout the form. Chords, seldom-used, are sparse -- intervals and single pitches are favored. It is performed without preference for a scale and in the jed rhythm. Throughout, when possible, performers are to use grace notes, add fills, play staccato and match notes and syllables.
- The teqoad always does the main melody.
- The ed always does the main melody and makes trills. The voice ranges from the strident high register to the vibrating top register.
- The ehpo always provides the rhythm. The voice ranges from the strident middle register to the shrill high register.
- The Muck-root-plant of Pelagic-clays has a simple structure: a passage.
- The simple passage is to be very loud.
- The jed rhythm is made from two patterns: the akoi and the ezok.
- The akoi rhythm is a single line with two beats. The beats are named op (spoken op) and fiepo (fie). The beat is stressed as follows:
- | x x |
- where x is a beat and | indicates a bar.
- The ezok rhythm is a single line with two beats. The beats are named qapoaq (spoken qa) and akoaz (ak). The beat is stressed as follows:
- | x x |
- where x is a beat and | indicates a bar.
