The Rosy Oat

The Rosy Oat is a performance partner dance originating in The Impartial Great-White-Shark. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Peduncular Seed as the dancers act out any composition of The Porous Hills. The dancers perform in a single line. The partners maintain open contact, communicating intent by pulling away briefly. The flamboyant dance is punctuated by elaborate footwork.

• The dance begins with the introduction of the music. The dancers perform slowly to the acimedewe rhythm. This aggressive section is punctuated by the loudly percussive leaps of the lead and leftward bends.
• The dance enters a new section with the passages of the music. The dancers perform quickly to the cowe rhythm. This section is punctuated by the clockwise half turns of the follower.
• The dance enters a new section with the next passages of the music. The dancers perform very quickly with the music. This section is punctuated by proud left kicks.
