The Blackberry of Corymbs
The Blackberry of Corymbs is a war dance originating in The Impenitence of Jabbers. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Musicianly Chants. The dancers perform in several lines. The powerful vigorous dance is punctuated by strong runs.
- The dance enters a new section with the bridge-passage of the music. The dancers perform faster and faster with the music. This sharp-edged section is punctuated by low right leg lifts, spirited footwork and spins, with large moves.
- The dance enters a new section with the finale of the music. The dancers perform slowly with the music. This section is punctuated by backward bends and straight-lined body level changes.
