The Fern of Satintail
The Fern of Satintail is a sacred group dance originating in The Fleeting-Unification of Musing. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Quinoa-Grain of Mantises as the dancers act out the story of the deity Dothru. The dancers perform in a single line, moving to the music's ijaspugolet rhythm. This dance is a refined artform, with four specific moves to be mastered.
- The dance begins with the passages of the music. The dancers perform quickly with the music. This section is serene and proud.
- The dance enters a new section with the next passage of the music. The dancers perform quickly with the music. This relaxed section is punctuated by movement performed in retrograde by group members.
- The dance enters a new section with the coda of the music. The dancers perform slower and slower with the music. This section is twisting and understated.
- The emsa is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a sinuous run with a delicate hand gesture and a refined rightward bend.
- The ciloc is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a soft counterclockwise eighth half turn with a graceful rightward bend.
- The restro is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a spin.
- The udagwa is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a forward bend with a refined arm carriage, a high body level and a partially realized counterclockwise eighth turn.
