The Fruity Seed
The Fruity Seed is a group performance dance originating in The Coati of Shedding. The rules of the form are applied by choreographers to produce individual dances which can be performed. The dance is accompanied by The Musical Tomato. The dancers perform loosely mingled turning counterclockwise. The dance is punctuated by aborted moves.
- The dance enters a new section with the verse of the music. The dancers perform to the bolo rhythm. This expressive section is punctuated by raised left arms and rightward bends.
- The dance enters a new section with the bridge-passage of the music. The dancers perform quickly to the owika rhythm. There is a basic movement called the line. There is a series of two steps in a triangle pattern. This section is punctuated by movement along the line of dance.
- The dance enters a new section with the next verse of the music. The dancers perform slower and slower with the music. This section is punctuated by movement along the line of dance.
- The dance enters a new section with the chorus of the music. The dancers perform to the oyathu rhythm. This crude section is punctuated by movement along the line of dance and body level changes.
