The Fruity Sweetcorn
The Fruity Sweetcorn is a group performance dance originating in The Judgemental Confederation. The rules of the form are applied by choreographers to produce individual dances which can be performed. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Spathe of Macadamia-Nuts. The dancers perform in a single line, moving faster and faster with the music. This dance is a refined artform, with eight specific moves to be mastered. The energetic elaborate dance is punctuated by fluid runs.
- The dance begins with the introduction of the music. The dancers perform to the uthrogumat rhythm. This sharp-edged section is punctuated by leaps and large kicks.
- The dance enters a new section with the passages of the music. The dancers perform to the ofing rhythm. This section is punctuated by high arm carriage.
- The bokem is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a straight-lined forward bend with a sinuous raised left arm and a counterclockwise eighth quarter turn.
- The inal is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a spin mirrored by group members with a vivacious facial expression. Then there is proud footwork. Then there is a straight-lined body level change. Finally, there is a strong raised right arm.
- The warosp is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a clockwise eighth half turn with a fluid body level change, undulating independent body movement and a spirited leftward bend.
- The vope is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a counterclockwise eighth turn with a high body level performed in retrograde by group members.
- The ciki is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is proud footwork. Then there is a spin with an aggressive body level change, vigorous footwork shadowed by group members and twisting independent body movement.
- The ehim is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a spin with a low body level and independent body movement. Then there is a fluid body level change.
- The iquin is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a curved walk with a proud hand gesture and a grotesque raised left arm.
- The ijaspugolet is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a leap with a counterclockwise eighth quarter turn.
