The Wholegrain Durians
The Wholegrain Durians is a solo celebration dance originating in The Dark-Tan Tribune. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Sweetcorn of Blooming. The entire dance has a basic movement called the kot. There is a series of six steps in a square pattern. The sensual straight-lined dance is punctuated by raised arms and expressive counterclockwise quarter turns.
- The dance begins with the introduction of the music. The dancer performs along an improvised path, moving faster and faster with the music. This section is punctuated by spins.
- The dance enters a new section with the passages of the music. The dancer performs slower and slower with the music. This joyous section is punctuated by spins.
- The dance enters a new section with the finale of the music. The dancer performs along a counterclockwise circle. This delicate section is punctuated by independent body movement.
