The Crypt of Ends
The Crypt of Ends is a sacred solo dance originating in The Immortal Savagery. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Widower of Hyenas as the dancer acts out any composition of The Cemetery of Starvation. The dancer performs along an improvised path. This dance is a refined artform, with three special positions to be mastered. The lively elaborate dance is punctuated by refined raised left arms.
- The dance begins with the passages of the music. The dancer performs slower and slower to the doram rhythm. There is a basic movement called the alazgo. There is a series of four steps in an intricate pattern with a refined rightward bend, a proud clockwise eighth quarter turn and spirited independent body movement. This section is punctuated by passionate facial expressions.
- The dance enters a new section with the finale of the music. The dancer performs slowly to the dusmorabur rhythm. This passionate section is punctuated by low spins, proud counterclockwise eighth turns and refined movement along the line of dance.
- The langkaz is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a flamboyant leftward bend with a high arm carriage.
- The reraspog is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a flamboyant right leg lift with a spirited raised arm and a grotesque facial expression.
- The exazgong is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be an expressive leftward bend.
