The Flowery Spathe
The Flowery Spathe is a solo performance dance originating in The Manageable Silt-Loam. The rules of the form are applied by choreographers to produce individual dances which can be performed. The dance is accompanied by The Blooming Durians as the dancer acts out any composition of The Fruity Geology. This dance is a refined artform, with four special positions and two specific moves to be mastered. The delicate sharp-edged dance is punctuated by raised left arms and curved walks.
- The dance begins with the introduction of the music. The dancer performs slower and slower with the music. This sprightly section is punctuated by backward bends and runs.
- The dance enters a new section with the passage of the music. The dancer performs slower and slower with the music. This section is punctuated by straight walks and body level changes.
- The dance enters a new section with the next passage of the music. The dancer performs quickly with the music. This section is punctuated by refined body level changes.
- The nina is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a raised arm with a high body level and a leg lift.
- The filera is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a low backward bend.
- The epasoyi is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a high body level with a leftward bend.
- The asematha is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a raised right arm with a right leg lift.
- The edarini is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a leap.
- The owika is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is an elaborate clockwise eighth turn with independent body movement.
