The Jammy Grain
The Jammy Grain is a social partner dance originating in The Manageable Silt-Loam. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Blooming Durians. The dancers perform loosely mingled, moving to the music's moro rhythm. The partners maintain open contact, communicating intent by pulling away. There are partner changes throughout the dance with the lead turning out clockwise. This dance is a refined artform, with seven specific moves to be mastered. The entire dance has a basic movement called the wori. There is a series of four undulating steps in a circular pattern with a low body level, a leftward bend from the follower and a sensual counterclockwise eighth quarter turn. The subtle serene dance is punctuated by delicate raised arms and sensual facial expressions.
