The Pistillate Orchard
The Pistillate Orchard is a performance partner dance originating in The Fusible Sabres. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Nectarous Orchard. The dancers perform in a single line. The partners dance closely, communicating intent by pulling away constantly. There are partner changes throughout the dance with the lead turning out clockwise.
- The dance enters a new section with the exposition of the first theme of the music. The dancers perform faster and faster with the music. This elaborate section is punctuated by the passive arm carriage of the follower.
- The dance enters a new section with the bridge-passage of the music. The dancers perform slower and slower to the urngleror rhythm. This subtle refined section is punctuated by partially realized runs and serene raised right arms.
- The dance enters a new section with the second theme of the music. The dancers perform quickly to the ikogristekil rhythm. This section is twisting and sluggish.
- The dance enters a new section with the exposition of the second theme of the music. The dancers perform quickly to the mithrustal rhythm. There is a basic movement called the alkil. There is a series of nine sensual steps in a figure-eight pattern with a sluggish arm carriage from the follower and a crude facial expression. This aggressive joyous expressive section is punctuated by the high body level of the follower and the forward bends of the follower.
