The Flour of Pineapples
The Flour of Pineapples is a sacred solo dance originating in The Wavy Giant-Grouper. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Catkin of Raspberries as the dancer acts out any composition of The Pensive Logic. The dancers imitate the movement of the ceratopsid. This dance is a refined artform, with four special positions to be mastered. The entire dance has a basic movement called the oyecadi. There is a series of five refined steps in a circular pattern with sensual independent body movement. The sharp-edged dance is punctuated by flamboyant clockwise half turns and leaps.
- The dance begins with the theme of the music. This spirited section is punctuated by intense straight walks and vivacious facial expressions.
- The sori is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be an intense rightward bend with a lively raised right arm and a low body level.
- The imaretha is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a flamboyant raised right arm with a proud facial expression and a left leg lift.
- The pararadele is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a backward bend.
- The pathethi is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be an expressive rightward bend with a raised left arm and a strong left leg lift.
