The Rhythmic Durum-Grain
The Rhythmic Durum-grain is a sacred solo dance originating in The Chronic Barbarity. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Fruitful Persimmon-Rhythm. The dancer performs slowly to the music's obst rhythm. This dance is a refined artform, with four special positions to be mastered. The vigorous refined dance is punctuated by undulating runs and powerful arm carriage.
- The dance begins with the theme of the music. This section is aggressive and twisting.
- The dance enters a new section with the bridge-passage of the music. This section is punctuated by softly percussive straight walks, flamboyant right kicks and independent body movement.
- The dance enters a new section with the variations on the theme of the music. This undulating fluid section is punctuated by curved walks.
- The langkaz is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a sinuous raised left arm with a right leg lift and a joyous forward bend.
- The reraspog is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a backward bend.
- The exazgong is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a proud hand gesture with a sensual facial expression and a sensual arm carriage.
