The Pea of Bees

The Pea of Bees is a social partner dance originating in The Cylindrical Entity. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Fruitful Wholegrain. The dancers perform in a circle, moving faster and faster to the music's dote rhythm. The partners dance closely, communicating intent briefly through touch. There are partner changes throughout the dance with the lead turning out counterclockwise. This dance is a refined artform, with one special position to be mastered. The aggressive debauched fluid dance is punctuated by the sinuous independent body movement of the lead and the curved walks of the follower.

• The dance begins with the passage of the music. This powerful section is punctuated by forward bends and the body level changes of the follower.
• The dance enters a new section with the bridge-passage of the music. This intense section is punctuated by the large footwork of the follower and the straight walks of the lead.
• The dance enters a new section with the finale of the music. This vigorous section is punctuated by the lively right leg lifts of the follower, strong leftward bends and leaps.
