The Hopper of Persimmons
The Hopper of Persimmons is a performance partner dance originating in The Lawmaker of Peanuts. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Nutty Rambutans. The dancers perform in several lines along an improvised path, moving slower and slower with the music. There are partner changes throughout the dance with the lead advancing against the main line of motion. This dance is a refined artform, with five specific moves to be mastered. The dance is punctuated by the soft leaps of the lead and the proud left kicks of the lead.
